Local. Knowledgeable. Shopify Agency.

Shopify Locals Supported by Antimatter

There’s an old saying:
“When everything is an option, nothing gets chosen.”
Or put another way, more doors, more hesitation.

If you’re building a Shopify store right now, you’re probably juggling a hundred decisions at once.

Brand colours. Packaging. Shipping. Inventory. Finance. Fulfillment. Tech stacks. AI tools. CMS platforms.

It’s a lot.

We get it, because we’ve been there. You’re not alone.

Here are a list of clients we’ve helped navigate these issues:

Hercules, Stellar, Cove Soda, Sperri, Made with Local, Duinkerken, and many more! You can check out all our success stories by clicking here.  We are a bit behind on adding every brand but here’s a few local brands that we love.

We’ve worked with Atlantic Canadian businesses for over 8 years, and our team brings 10+ years of hands-on experience building real ecommerce operations. Every season there’s a new tool, a new platform, a new “must-have” trend. From AI to CMS hype cycles, everyone goes a little wild.

But here’s the truth:

The foundation is still the foundation.
No matter what tools you use, simplicity, organization, and clarity always win.

“I need a Shopify site… but I also need branding.”

I need a Shopify site… but I also need branding. Totally fair, and yes, we’ve got you covered.

We recently worked with a company that’s been around since 1940.
Decades of history. A brand they cared deeply about. A look and feel that hadn’t changed in generations.

They trusted Antimatter Creative Labs to not only build and organize their Shopify store — but to carefully protect and evolve their most valuable asset: their brand.

That takes trust.
And professionalism.

We’ve worked with companies like Hercules before, and we’ll work with many more like them going forward. If you’re hesitant, that’s okay. We understand the weight of these decisions. We can support your branding, your Shopify site, and your website automations under one roof.

5,000+ Products? That’s Not “Easy.”

Managing and organizing products is stressful, no matter what anyone says.

Internal teams often think it’ll be simple.
It isn’t.

We’ve worked with businesses selling 5,000+ products and others selling 10 SKUs — and complexity exists at every level. Variations, categories, integrations, inventory logic, fulfillment rules… it adds up fast.

Sometimes Shopify alone isn’t enough.
That’s where APIs, custom tools, and internal software come in.

We’ve put in the hours. We’ve seen the edge cases. And we focus on building solutions that actually work, not buggy systems held together by duct tape.

Local Support for Shopify Fixes (When It Really Matters)

Take Made with Local, for example.

An incredible local food brand, and honestly, one of our favourite snacks. If you haven’t tried one yet, do yourself a favour. Natural. Organic. Legitimately good.

When Sheena Russell needed help with a Shopify issue, she didn’t call a faceless agency in the U.S. or Toronto.

She called local.

Made with Local called Antimatter Creative Labs because they needed fast help, no nonsense, and someone who genuinely cared about the outcome.

That’s the difference.

Maritimers grow up in communities where people know each other. Where integrity, kindness, faith, and doing the right thing actually matter. Even when business gets messy, local people don’t look to profit from someone else’s problems.

That’s why local calls local.
Because they know we want them to succeed.

Helping You Make the Right Call (Shopify vs WordPress)

The platform you choose depends on where you are in your journey. <-

When we worked with Cove Kombucha (now Cove Soda), they were still growing and preparing to enter the U.S. market. Every dollar mattered. Shipping wasn’t dialed in yet. Ecommerce wasn’t the primary driver.

So we recommended -> WordPress.

That decision saved them money early and gave them flexibility while they scaled. It wasn’t a shortcut, it was a foundation.

Fast forward: After raising their Series A, expanding across North America, and bringing on CEO Brian Crowley, Cove officially moved to Shopify in January 2026.

And now it makes perfect sense.

WordPress allowed fast iteration early (PHP moves faster than Liquid). Shopify now supports growth, analytics, and scale. Different phases, different tools, same smart foundation.

Today, Cove products are in retail doors across Canada and the U.S., including Costco, Target, Whole Foods, and Sprouts. They’ve also partnered with Keurig Dr. Pepper Canada to accelerate distribution.

And it all started on WordPress.

Shopify Checkout & Speed = 🔥

There’s one thing we can say confidently after years in ecommerce:

Shopify is fast.

Even poorly built Shopify sites tend to load quickly. Checkout is smooth, Shop Pay converts insanely well, and stored payment data across the Shopify ecosystem is a massive advantage.

WordPress can be fast, but only in experienced hands.
It started as a blogging platform, which means there’s a lot of bloat to remove if you want performance.

Shopify removes that friction.

Why Work With a Shopify Partner?

Antimatter is a recognized Shopify Partner because we consistently build, support, and grow businesses on the platform.

We help merchants:

Build Apps
Create tools for buyers, merchants, POS systems, and checkout experiences using Shopify’s APIs.

Build Stores
Design and launch custom storefronts or public themes that actually convert.

Build Businesses
From migrations and launches to traffic, automation, and long-term growth strategies, we’re in it with you.

If you’re overwhelmed, that’s normal.
If you’re unsure where to start, we understand.

We’ve walked this road with Maritimers before, and we’d be happy to walk it with you too.
